Next Evolution is a small studio of tools we built to run an AI-native company — and now share with other operators.
We started Next Evolution because we needed software to run Hungry Machines, and the tools we wanted didn't exist as one coherent set. So we built them for ourselves first — an SEO scanner that watches how AI answer engines surface us, a content engine that keeps the blog and newsletter shipping without a content team, and a knowledge base that holds the operator playbook we draw from week after week.
Once a tool had earned its keep on real work for months, we made it available here so other operators could use it too. That's the whole model: build it for ourselves, prove it on Hungry Machines, share it with people doing the same job.
Hungry Machines is the AI-native operating company we run day to day, and the proving ground for everything on this site. If a tool works on hungrymachines.io, we trust it enough to put it in front of other operators. If it doesn't, it stays in the workshop. The link between the two companies is intentional and public.
One rule: we only release tools we actually use internally. Every tool in the studio earns its place by carrying real Hungry Machines work — not by sounding good in a launch post. That discipline keeps the collection small, focused, and useful. Three tools today: Content Intelligence, SEO Analysis, and Atlas. We'd rather ship three things we'd recommend to a friend than ten things we wouldn't.
Grant founded Next Evolution and Hungry Machines and writes about operator-grade AI — including the longer thinking behind the studio model and what an AI-native company actually looks like from the inside.
